Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the I Love Chile team.

I Love Chile Mission Statement: Our goal is to promote English in Chile and Chile in English. We are working together to help make Chile a bilingual country, which will help improve tourism and business in the country. This will help people in every social class make a better life in Chile.

An internship abroad with I Love Chile is an opportunity to further your practical experience in your desired area and gain a variety of diverse experiences. By participating in the I Love Chile internship program, you will learn valuable professional techniques in your chosen field, allowing you to further your skills and knowledge. Most importantly, you will also establish professional relationships and develop an international network of colleagues and contacts.

Please include work samples, no more than three, with a cover letter and your CV.

Requirements

  • A high level of English and a basic knowledge of Spanish recommended
  • Able to work independently
  • Attention to detail, organizational and communication skills
  • A commitment to work a minimum of 25 to 35 hours a week during your placement
  • Living Expenses: You will need around US$700/month (approximately CLP$325,000) to cover your living and travel needs.  Of course, this depends on how much you go out, travel and shop.
  • Interest in Chile, in the areas of business, tourism, education, environment and politics
  • Internships are full time, though exceptions can be made, especially for students in Chile. However, this must be specified on the application, and a minimum and regular time commitment is still required

Unlike many companies, we accept interns all year around. We accept interns with a variety of experience from all over the world.

Internships are usually a minimum of two months. Times vary depending on circumstances. It is possible to work part time or full time. If you are interested in an internship that is not listed here or you are interested in volunteer work, please e-mail us at interns@ilovechile.cl.

INTERNSHIP: Job Title: Community Manager for major international company

Area: Corporate communications
Direct Supervisor: Assistant director of Internal and External Communications
No. of Vacancy: 1 person internship
Description:  Journalist, Audiovisual communicator, commercial engineer specialized in IT, Marketing or related field. We seek a professional that can handle the new technologies applied to the social media (WEB, Facebook, Internet, Twitter) so that he/she can contribute business related communications to the business’ official twitter and facebook accounts.

To be a member of the Corporate Communications department, who are co-responsible for developing and generating communications in line with the editorial vision of the business, its diverse external/digital communications as well as to generate corporate communications in the different formats.

I. Responsibilities:

- Synchronizing and updating timely communications on website, Facebook, twitter.

- Coordinating with other digital media of the company and its subsidiary.

- Generating communications and securing information to provide to the networks. Editorial guideline of themes to be developed online (interviews, reports, notes, educational videos).

II. Qualifications:

- Interest in themes related to the world of wine (gastronomy, enotourism, travel & living).

- Experience in management of online and digital media, basic understanding of web design and esthetics to develop the editorial and graphic communications (title layout and texts settings.)

- Bilingual.

III. Details:

- Position in the Communications department of the vineyard

- Monday thru Friday from 8:30 to 18:15 (Friday to 17:00)

INTERNSHIP: Global Communications Journalist for major international company

Area: Corporate communications
Direct Supervisor: Assistant director of Internal and External Communications

No. of Vacancy: 1 person

Internship Description:  Journalist, Audiovisual communicator, commercial engineer specialized in IT, Marketing or related field.

Ideally with a bachelor degree or completion of course related to the Corporate Communications, PR or Strategic Communication. We seek a professional that will integrate into the Corporate Communications department and enhance the External Communications team, who will focus on working closely with the most relevant markets to the vineyard and within its own communication structures (internal teams or agencies)

To be a member of the Corporate Communications department, who are co-responsible for executing and coordinating the External Global Communication Strategy that is developed by the vineyard.

I. Responsibilities:

- Participation in I Reporting and elaboration of sensitive editorial communications to be presented to the national and international press.

- Capability of editing and elaborating documents such as press releases, journalistic texts, press kits, and media plans, etc.

- Coordination with external communication agencies

- Generation of communications and securing information to provide to the networks. Editorial guideline of themes to be developed online (interviews, reports, notes, educational videos).

- To carry out the coordination and execution of the media plans within the global market (conference calls, working methodology, shipment of materials, requests and I report themes)

II. Qualifications:

- Interest in themes related to the world of wine (gastronomy, ecotourism, travel & living).

- Experience in PR management, event planning, development of journalistic and editorial material, impressions and graphic, audiovisual, and corporate material.

- Bilingual.

III. Details:

- Position in the Communications department of the vineyard

- Monday thru Friday from 8:30 to 18:15 (Friday to 17:00)
